The Ark Gala 2024 will commemorate the 30th anniversary of the press conference held Nov. 3, 1994 at the Marriott Bayfront Hotel to publicly announce plans to create the shelter.
The Ark Assessment Center and Emergency Shelter for Youth’s fundraiser
begins at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19 at the Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds

KIII-TV News Anchor Rudy Trevino will be the master of ceremonies. The gala will feature silent/live auctions, dinner/dessert, a liquor basket raffle and a panel of speakers who will give updates on the organization’s status.

All sponsorship tables will seat 10 and offer signage, recognition at the gala, and newsletter/website thanks.
To secure recognition of your charitable contribution in our printed program at the event, we need your commitment or payment by July 26.
Tax-deductible gifts for the auctions are needed by July 26.
Auction donors will receive signage at the auction.

The agency is licensed by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission to provide assessment services and emergency shelter to 61 children and youth, ages 0 through 17, who are removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect by a parent or guardian.
The Ark has served more than 4,400 residents since the first one was admitted on April 7, 2000.
The gala’s proceeds pay for services that make a difference in the children’s lives at the facility.
